| Objective | Participants will learn about key Airplant (Tillandsia) types and cultivation. Different techniques of displaying and growing Airplant will also be covered. Creation and maintenance of a personalized wall-mounted art piece featuring live Airplants and moss. |
| Description | This course covers an overview of key Airplants (Tillandsia) types as well as their growth conditions. Participants will also learn about different techniques and ideas to display Airplants, with a combination of different materials. Participants will be guided through the creation of a personal Airplant Wall Art piece.
In this particular run, participants will.. Create a living Driftwood Art piece filled with Air plants! You can now do so through a guided course on the wonderful world of Air plants, learn about some key species and their unique growth habits, and how to create a personalised Air plant Driftwood centrepiece for display in your home or as a gifting idea.! |

Darren was a NParks ambassador for the ‘Community in Bloom’ programme where he conducted Orchid Gardening workshops for NParks and the National Library. He has also conducted the Asian Herbs and Cultivation workshop at Sunrise Global Chef Academy and Swarovski Singapore. He is leader of the Siglap South Community Centre garden interest group and organises many gardening workshops and community events. His qualifications include Bachelor of Science (Botany, Hon 2nd Upper) from NUS, 6 Sigma Black Belt and has certications for various courses on Situational Leadership, Lateral Leadership, NLP. |
