| Objective | Acquire Musical appreciation in the articulations in different keys beyond C key, and different styles of music. The essence and techniques of using the slider typical in a chromatic harmonica will be explored with the introduction of G and F Major keys and their relative minors. Able to Play more variety of songs and musical pieces on chromatic harmonica at the end of the course. |
| Description | Build on the skills gained in the Level 1 course and take your chromatic harmonica playing to the next level. In this module, you’ll learn more refined techniques, with a strong focus on mastering the use of the slider to achieve smoother transitions, richer tones, and greater musical expression. You’ll also deepen your understanding of music theory as we introduce the G and F major keys along with their relative minors. By the end of the course, you’ll be better equipped to tackle more complex melodies and perform with added confidence and artistry. |
| Trainer | Eddy Ooi
Eddy Ooi is a guitarist trained at Berklee College of Music, holding a Diploma in Music Theory. With a robust background as a lead guitarist and bandleader in various combo bands, he is dedicated to integrating the harmonica into ensemble settings. Eddy honed his skills under the guidance of both local and international harmonica masters. With over two decades of experience, he is now an MOE-certified harmonica trainer and serves as the principal Chromatic Harmonica instructor at the Singapore Association for Continuing Education, alongside teaching in schools and other institutions. |
