| Objective | A Taiji course with theory as well as practical exercises. Helping learners master their bodies in motion, gaining better balance as well as strengthening their bone mass & physique. |
| Description | Taiji, an ancient Chinese Wushu is a gentle low impact exercise that is good for health. The weight bearing exercise and constant changing of balance are good for bone mass and a preventive measure for anti-falling. There are scientific proofs that seniors have over 70% less chance of slipping and falling after practicing Taiji. And the Harvard Medical Journal rate Taiji as the second-best exercise for seniors, after swimming. The Singapore Wushu Dragon & Lion Dance Federation has put together the “Taiji for All 13 Steps” that combine key movements from the 5 major schools of Taiji to help seniors become more active and healthier. This will be a course that combines theory with practical movement for seniors maintaining their physique and gaining more sure footing in life. |
