About National Silver Academy (NSA)
The National Silver Academy (NSA) is a network of post-secondary education institutions (PSEIs) (i.e. ITE, polytechnics, universities and arts institutions) and community-based organisations that offer learning opportunities that are subsidised for seniors. Seniors and PRs aged 50 years and above can look forward to attending short courses and bite-sized courses that are exam free. For courses run by community-based organisations, the final fee payable – for both Singaporean and Permanent Resident seniors – takes into account the support given by the government to community-based organisations to develop and offer the short courses.

About The Singapore Association for Continuing Education (SACE)
The Singapore Association for Continuing Education (SACE) is a registered charity with MOE. It offers over 70 courses under the National Silver Academy, most of which are highly subsidised for Singaporeans & Permanent Residents aged 50 and above. SACE serves the continuing learning needs of adults of all ages.

Objective This course aims to impart learners with the technical skills to operate the computer efficiently and safely on the Windows 11 Operating System.
Description This course is on using the computer with the new Windows 11 operating system.  The course teaches learners the proper way to manipulate the Windows desktop, manage all the system settings, network and internet, personalisation, Apps, Accounts, privacy and security settings.  Learners will learn how to keep their computers healthy, efficient and safe against cyber threats.  Computer housekeeping and maintenance will also be taught/  Required: A laptop with Microsoft Windows 11 OS

Requirement:

Participants to bring Laptop with Win11 or Win10 that is upgradable ( preferably upgrade done by self before class). To bring Power adapters to maintain battery life.

Trainer Richard Cheong

Richard has a BA(Hons), GDPM (SIM), is ACTA certified trainer, and a Master Microsoft Office Specialist. He also attended several workshops conducted by Apple, Microsoft, Facebook and Google pertaining to the advocacy of senior digital literacy. He has developed many I.T. training curriculum for the iPad and Windows utilisation.
